*NEW* The Bastet Amulet Necklace is a talisman similar to it's two-headed counterpart, The Freya Necklace. Bastet is the ancient Egyptian goddess, worshipped in the form of a lioness, known for her ferocious nature. Small figures of cats were worn as amulets in ancient Egypt by followers of the cult of Bastet. The cult was carried to Italy by the Ancient Romans; where traces have been found in the form of bronze statues, mummified cats and amulets that were believed to have protective powers by those who wore them.
Both the Bastet Amulet and the Freya Necklace are meant to invoke strong femme energy and the manifestation of strength and great power.
The cat head charm was created from wax, then cast in solid 10k gold. Hand painted black detailing. The chain is a 17" long, solid 10k gold, 1.5 mm round cable chain.
